Mr. Dan Klippstein was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in March 2013, and assumed his current position as the Resources Director for the Army’s Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9, formerly the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management, in September 2018.
He administers Installations Program Evaluation Group (II PEG) to enable all aspects of planning, programming and budget formulation for a $15 billion annual program and $75 billion across the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) that encompasses 78 Management Decision Packages (MDEPs) representing requirements for seven Army Staff Functional and 38 commands Armywide.
Previously, Mr. Klippstein served as the Director of the U.S. Army Nuclear and Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction Agency and concurrently as the Deputy Director, Plans and Policy, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7.
Mr. Klippstein holds a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, 2003; a Master of Arts in Management from Webster University, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, 1993; and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration for Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois, 1982.
His professional memberships include Association of the United States Army and Association of U.S. Military Strategists.
