Are You a Veteran Seeking Civilian Employment?
Veterans may be eligible for preference in hiring over non-veteran applicants. Veterans’ preference was established by Congress to recognize those who have served our country. Veterans’ preference does not guarantee a veteran a job. If you are a veteran and are not sure of your eligibility, visit the Office of Personnel Management’s Vet Guide or America’s Veteran for more information about veterans' preference, how Federal jobs are filled, and unique veteran appointing authorities designed to help you find a job.
f you were wounded, became ill or injured while on active duty there are many resources and programs designed to help with next-steps as you transition into the civilian work force.
For more information or to view OPM's Vet Guide or America's Veteran, please go to http://www.armycivilianservice.com and select the Veterans link from the left side of the page.
